SG Berlin an Granville vom Gildaf
Sire: Berlin is a medium size sable male from West German and East German/DDR lines. He has good substance, a large head, dark pigment, and moderate angulation. He is highly driven for dog sports and also completely able to settle in the house. Berlin has an exceptional temperament, is social in public yet naturally protective of his home and family. He also shows strong natural tracking and herding abilities. While Berlin spends most of his time being an active family companion playing with his Jolly Ball and traveling cross-country to visit National Parks and charming everybody he meets along the way, he has also trained and trialed in Tracking, Agility, Obedience, Conformation, and Flyball. Berlin is owned, trained, and handled by Lindsay Chlopek.
Dam: Anna is a Manny / Ema daughter from our A-Litter. She is currently in training for Schutzhund in all three phases (obedience, tracking, and protection). Her tracking is methodical, she is quick to use her nose to locate a scent path, and her attention span and concentration on the foot prints is very good. In the protection phase Anna is clear minded and highly motivated to work. Her bark and hold exhibits strength and attitude, and her grips are full in the pocket, without chewing or thrashing. She is confident around people, kids, and social with other dogs. Anna has a strong bark/alert and is quick to distinquish changes in her environment. In March 2011 Anna passed the Canine Good Citizen evaluation (CGC), and also passed the Therapy Dogs International evaluation (TDI). She has also has been DNA tested for and was determined not to carry the gene that causes degenerative myelopathy (D/M)
As trainers, we have personally handled and trained German Shepherds from around the world (Germany, Czech, Hungary, and the US). We have taken this experience and developed a breeding program to accommodate clients, families, and working level professionals with a dog that is functional, intelligent, trainable, and trustworthy.
